Clinton hampir pasti untuk menang pemilihan Presiden Amerika Syarikat. Hingga ke saat akhir kem Clinton seolah-olah sudah hendak berparti dengan kemenangan. Namun apabila keputusan di negeri-negeri utama mula diistiharkan, suasana nampak berubah dalam sekelip mata.

Hampir semua media meramalkan Clinton. Trump bukan sahaja diramal kalah tetapi pihak media memburukkan imej Trump. Malah sepanjang debat Presiden berlangsung memang kita lihat Clinton lagi hebat.

Puak-puak Liberal di Malaysia pun turut ingin bersorak kemenangan Clinton. Clinton bakal meneruskan agenda Obama. Dana sudah pasti mencurah-curah. Obama bulat dan padu dalam agenda promosi LGBTIQ dan percaturan geo-politik ke atas negara-negara Islam. Arab Spring telah selesai, fasa berikut nampak tertumpu kepada Turki, Malaysia dan mungkin juga beberapa negara lagi seperti Turkmenistan dan Indonesia.

Di belakang Trump pula ialah sokongan padu Kristian. Puak-puak evangelis ketara dalam menyuarakan sokongan mereka sepanjang kempen berjalan. Reveren Franklin Graham (anak Billy Graham) sendiri berkempen. Graham berkata bahawa kemenangan Trump adalah kerana “tangan Tuhan” (I think it was the hand of God).

Evangelis di Malaysia turut bergembira the hasil keputusan pemilihan Presiden Amerika Syarikat. Malah sesetengah evangelis di Malaysia, ada yang mempunyai hubungan akrab dengan perniagaan Trump. Di antara orang terkaya di Malaysia ini ada yang meraih kekayaan dari perniagaan Trump. Keluarga ini adalah evangelis tegar. Satu keluarga!

Agenda mereka sama. Antara hujah Graham pilih Trump ialah Supporting Israel: Trump explained Israel is our “number one friend in the Middle East” and that he would stand with Israel“. Itulah juga evangelis-evangelis di Malaysia. Mereka bulat sokongan kekejaman Israel.

Kita sibuk membantah pembantaian Israel ke atas rakyat Palestin dengan mengadakan demonstrasi di Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat … ada puak-puak evangelis bersama kita?

The new wave to rock the next general election will be the youths and the first-time voters – a whole horde of them. And it’s the DAP that is capturing the young market.

Below are the MPs from the evangelical party serving in the current Parliament. All these DAP politicians became first-time YBs when only in their twenties and thirties. Some are going into their second-term in office.

Look at how young their faces are. And they’re our honorable Members of Parliament.

In their 20s and 30s

The DAP women – Teo Nie Ching was 27 years old when she was elected the DAP Serdang MP. Alice Lau Kiong Yieng was 32 when she was elected Lanang MP last year. Kasthuriraani, daughter of DAP legend P. Patto (nepotism!), was 34 when she won the Batu Kawan Parliament seat.

The DAP men – Ramkarpal Singh – another case of DAP dynastic nepotism – who inherited his father’s Bukit Gelugor seat, is 38.

Party superstar Liew Chin Tong, who garnered the highest votes in the CEC re-election (beating Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng for top spot), was 31 years old in 2008 when he was parachuted into the Bukit Bendera seat in Penang.

In the 2013 election, Liew relocated back to his home state Johor and kicked Hou Kok Chung‘s ass in Kluang and put an end to the Cabinet career of the MCA deputy higher education minister.

High profile Tony Pua was a youthful 36 when he won the Petaling Jaya Utara Parliament seat back in 2008. Nonetheless, in the short intervening years (similar to Our FirstLady Speaker piling on the weight), Pua has greyed at super speed and his hair is now salt-and-pepper in colour.

Teo Kok Seong, presently the DAPSY chief, is currently MP for Rasah after taking over the seat from Anthony Loke who was 32 when he won Rasah in 2008. Coincidentally, Teo also won Rasah at the age of 32.

What kind of YB is this new DAP breed?

Mengkibol Adun Tan Hong Pin joined evangelista Ong Kian Ming in fasting and #sahur-ing during this year’s puasa month.

Tan goes to Malay houses for sleepover and poses for photos wearing sarung when bersahur. But not to worry, it’s still a long catch-up to Hannah Yeoh’s record-breaking feat of wearing tudung and trotting to the masjid dan surau untuk buka puasa.

Regardless, their chameleon antics signal to what length this species of young DAP politicians will go in order to woo the Malay vote.

The evangelical Christian kind

These DAP new breed politicians are clearly different from their predecessors. One of the most distinguishing factors is their evangelical Christianity.

Julian Tan Kok Ping, the DAP Stampin MP, got married in the City Harvest Church.

He is a Utar alumnus. The MCA university is mass producing DAP politicians.

(Side note: Chong Zhemin, who is DAP Perak economic development bureau chief, was formerly lecturing at Utar. We should be curious if he ever talked politics to his class.)

They’re young and Christian

DAP Rahang Adun, Mary Josephine Pritam Singh – the odd one out here who is not young – is a Christian although Punjabis are most usually Sikh. DAP is full of Christians.

Notable DAP Christian women YBs, besides the ballooning presence of Hannah Yeoh everywhere, are Teresa Kok, Teo Nie Ching, Violet Yong and Yeo Bee Yin (pix, right), the Damansara Utama Adun who is 31 this year.

The other thing, aside from evangelical Christianity, is that many of the DAP wakil-wakil rakyat are really young.

Johor Jaya Adun Liow Cai Tung – see Buah Kurma poster below – looks like she could still be in school.

And below too are YB Liow’s equally young-looking fellow Johor Aduns – YB Senai, Wong Shu Qi and YB Tangkak, Ee Chin Li. There are really too many leng chai and leng lui among the DAP’s total of 95 Aduns for me to feature all their photos.

However it is not only for the state assemblies that the DAP is willing to wager young faces. The party put up Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, who is 27, to contest the Teluk Intan Parliament by-election earlier this year. Her opponent was Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong, who is almost twice her age.

Publicity hounds

The thing about DAP’s strategy to use young politicians is their savviness in exploiting modern mass communication such as the social media – the same element that helped Barack Obama to cross the finishing line first in the 2008 American presidential election.

Hannah Yeoh, for example, has already collected 99,700 twits. Her Twitter following will have breached the 100k milestone once another 300 more J-Juice drinkers sign up.

With Instagram, the DAP politikus roll off their photo ops – such as stirring an empty pot in the surau during Ramadan – like sliced bread off the assembly line.

Zumba, zumba, zumba!

The digital technology is there, no doubt, but it is still up to how savvy the user is to exploit it.

Khairy Jamaluddin is big on Twitter due to his obsessive, selfie-fuelled pursuit of personal popularity. But the question remains whether the KJ fan club comprises those youngsters who are willing to pangkah Dacing at the end of the day or even to make their way to the polling station.

Playing smart – strategic and targetted voter registration

Remember that the young Chinese are over-registered in proportion to their population numbers and you can be sure that for GE14, they’re not going to be voting in the DAP urban strongholds where their party has 30,000-vote majority. Instead these first-time voters will be deployed to marginal suburban seats where victory or defeat could be determined by 300 votes or less.

There’s no point in registering more Chinese to vote in Seputeh where Teresa Kok can stroll … blindfolded … to victory (her majority in GE13 was 51,552 votes). It shouldn’t surprise us if some of her diehard supporters were to transfer their voting address to another area.

Zumba is fun and the Ice Bucket Challenge was hip but these do not translate into the sort of ideological moorings that that anchor say, Pembina (Isma Youth).

The DAP use of social media is very efficiently geared towards disseminating propaganda and brainwashing the sheeple. Their Dapster army then proceed to carry out the plan of action with unmatched hysteria and unhinged kiasuness.

Unfortunately we cannot say the same for the effectiveness of Umno Youth’s hashtag #lifestyle in canvassing the Malay ground.

Millions of new voters in GE14

There were only 638,000 new Malaysian voters in the 2008 general election (GE12) but the number had increased to 2.6 million by GE13 last year, largely thanks to the hyperactivity of the DAP.

In 2009, more than four in 10 Malaysians above age 21 had not yet registered as voters, according to an NST report that year quoting Election Commission deputy chairman Wan Ahmad Wan Omar.

Taking advantage of the BN tidak apa attitude, the DAP accelerated its voter registration drive, and as a result leaving MCA and the rest of the DAP’s direct political rivals to bite the dust.

Grabbing every chance they get

DAP supporters even took the opportunity of their 21st birthday parties to register their children’s friends and peers as new voters – see @hannahyeoh tweet below.

And then there were the voter registration exercises carried out in the churches, an institution that is a pillar of strength for the evangelical party. Hannah Yeoh’s Personal Assistant, evangelista Rajiv Rishyakaran, personally oversaw some such efforts in the City Harvest Church.

It is no wonder then that the electorate numbers in Hannah’s constituency spiked to 61,688 voters for GE13, up from 44,569 during GE12.

In the span of one term (between 2008 and 2013), Subang Jaya saw an increase of 17,119 voters – thanks in large part to the aggressive promotion of and by the DAP incumbent. In comparison, when Subang Jaya was an MCA ward, the constituency only saw an increase of 5,963 voters between 2004 and 2008, and 5,918 voters between 1999 and 2004.

The difference in the tremendous effort put in by the DAP is a great contrast to the complacency of coma patient MCA.

Chinese support for BN will hit rock bottom by GE14

The Election Commission has said that 70 percent of the 4.2 million unregistered voters at end-2011 were aged between 21 to 40. The EC also projected that an average 450,000 Malaysians turn 21 each year.

The irony lies in the headline of the 21 Nov 2011 J-Star article – ‘Barisan eyes support of young voters for polls‘. As we can discern from the tsunami, the young voters had flocked to Pakatan.

It is well nigh impossible for BN to reach the Chinese community anymore. The means of communication is broken due to language barrier. Only one percent of Utusan Malaysia readers are Chinese and I’m willing to bet many of them are Cina mualaf or “Cina murtad”.

Only two percent of Nanyang Siang Pau readers are Malay, which come to think of it is actually a better ratio than the one percent Chinese Utusan readers as after all, BM is our national language.

Gunting dalam Lipatan backstabbed the BN

What the newspaper circulation data indicates is that Chinese do not touch casual Malay reading material (unless forced to for exam purposes) and Malays generally do not access Chinese media. There is very little cross-ethnic communication between the two communities through the Malay and Chinese languages.

We can extend this finding to other media conduits besides newspapers. Malays would not be commenting in the Chinese chat forums and nor would Chinese be reading the Malay blogosphere.

The only overlap between the races occurs in the English language media. The J-Star – pie chart below – has a quarter of its readership from the Malay community.

Analyse results, not MCA’s fairy claims

Half of The J-Star readers are Chinese. Yet 90 percent of Chinese voters rejected the BN.

Looking at the electoral outcome, i.e. how MCA controls the country’s most influential media empire but the EvangeliSTAR audience scoff at the BN, it becomes most obvious that the MCA-owned media must have been subversively promoting the opposition cause.

How else to explain why the BN message failed to be conveyed when the J-Star conglomerate has its tentacles reaching such a vast audience? There is the main print readership, J-Star online and J-Star magazine readers, J-Star Internet TV viewers and J-Star’s many radio channels listeners.

J-Star tail wagging the MCA dog

Furthermore, the EvangeliSTAR conducts many and various corporate-social programmes and most recently, the paper is taking its anti-racism campaign into the colleges and universities. The MCA-owned media does all of this (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) but the Chinese and youth choose to vote the opposition? It does not compute.

MCA must think Umno is stupid. Could MCA be right?

If the BN had received 10 percent support from the Chinese electorate in GE13, the ruling party should consider itself lucky to get five percent in GE14. This is due to the demographic push.

Below are the typical Chinese BN supporters. They are getting rarer by the day as Malaysia is a young country with a fast-growing youth population.

MCA has irrevocably given up the ghost. Only Umno wants to flog the dead horse.

 

AIDCNews – 11/03/17 –Pada Julai 2012, bekas Pengarah Strategik Hal Ehwal Orang Melayu-Islam DAP, Mohamad Razali bin Abdul Rahman pernah mendedahkan bahawa modus operandi utama DAP adalah melakukan penyamaran dan penipuan identiti yang bertujuan untuk mengelabui mata pengundi.

Jika sebelum ini ramai pengundi menyangkakan identiti agama Setiausaha Agung DAP, Lim Guan Eng adalah beragama Buddha berdasarkan identiti nama yang tertera di kad pengenalannya, namun Mohamad Razali mendedahkan sebaliknya.

“Untuk pengetahuan Tuan-tuan dan Puan-puan, hampir 90% kepimpinan DAP adalah beragama Kristian. Lim Guan Eng, nama penuh dia pun Joseph Lim Guan Eng. Lim Kit Siang ke, Ronnie Liu, Teresa Kok..mungkin banyak orang tahu.

“Ada setengah masih guna nama Cina tapi mereka adalah merupakan anutan Kristian,” dedah Mohamad Razali.

Dakwaan Mohamad Razali itu hampir sama dengan pendedahan yang dilakukan oleh bekas penulis Malaysiakini, Helen Ang.

Selain Guan Eng, Helen menamakan Teresa Kok, Tony Pua, Hannah Yeoh, Nga Kor Ming, Teo Nie Ching dan Ngeh Koo Ham sebagai orang kuat Kristian dalam DAP.

Helen turut menamakan ramai lagi aktivis Kristian dalam DAP termasuk Ong Kian Ming, Violet Yong, Yeo Bee Yin dan lain-lain.

Pada 2014, Teresa Kok pernah mendedahkan gambar Dr Wong Chin Huat berada dalam sebuah Gereja Our Lady of Lourdes di Klang.

Dr Wong Chin Huat merupakan pakar rujuk ‘Maqasid Syariah’ di Penang Institute.

Turut dipaparkan juga muka Zainah Anwar (Sister In Islam) dan Ivy Josiah, aktivis Kristian dari Pertubuhan Bantuan Wanita (WAO).

Gambar aktivis Kristian, Jerald Joseph yang terlibat aktif dalam CAN (Community Action Network) dan KOMAS (Pusat Komunikasi Masyarakat) juga turut dipaparkan.

Penang Institute, Sister In Islam, WAO, CAN dan KOMAS merupakan pendokong utama pergerakan BERSIH.

“Gereja ini penuh dengan rakan-rakan Katolik dan beberapa ahli politik Kristian seperti Charles Santiago, Dr Xavier (Jayakumar), Yeo Bee Yin.

“Aktivis NGO-bukan (jenama) Kristian seperti Wong Chin Huat dan beberapa anggota kumpulan wanita yang diketuai oleh Ivy Josiah, Marina Mahathir, Zainah Anwar, Siti Kassim dan lain-lain juga berada di sana untuk menunjukkan sokongan,” tulis Teresa Kok dalam Facebooknya.

Sebelum mengeluarkan pandangan atau fatwa seorang mufti bukan sahaja mesti menguasai pelbagai bidang agama berkaitan dengan perkara yang hendak dihukumi, namun seorang mufti itu mesti terlebih dahulu faham apa isu yang menjadi persoalannya.

Sebagai contoh, dalam isu kalimah Allah.

Yang dibawa hingga ke Mahkamah Persekutuan ialah tuntutan puak pelampau evangelis Kristian, iaitu Titular Roman Catholic Archbishop Kuala Lumpur (TRCAKL). Mereka membuat tuntutan semakan (Judicial Review) di Mahkamah Tinggi untuk dibenarkan mereka mengguna kalimah Allah di dalam terbitan majalah Herald  – The Catholic Weekly.

Kementerian Dalam Negeri telah mengeluarkan larangan terhadap penggunaan kalimah Allah, Kaabah, Solat dan Baitullah untuk penggunaan agama lain sejak tahun 19hb Mei 1986 lagi. Namun TRCAKL tetap berdegil dan terus menggunakannya dalam penerbitan majalah Herald mereka.

Asas penggunaan mereka ialah untuk menterjemahkan istilah “God” dengan istilah “Allah” dan mereka tidak mahu mengguna terjemahan yang betul dalam Bahasa Melayu iaitu “Tuhan”.

Maka latar belakang kepada isu ini ialah mereka mahu guna untuk terjemahan istilah, itu yang pertama.

Kedua, dalam surat KDN bertarikh 24hb April 2007, larangan tersebut dipertegaskan lagi larangan penggunaan istilah Allah untuk agama lain KECUALI untuk menjelaskan penggunaan istilah Allah konteks agama Islam dan BUKAN konteks agama Kristian. Ini bermakna jika orang bukan Islam hendak menyebut “kalimah Allah” bagi merujuk Allah Yang Maha Esa dalam epistemologi ajaran Islam maka ianya tidak salah.

Bermakna, orang bukan Islam boleh sebut Allah – tapi bukan merujuk Allah itu kepada patung berhala tuhan-tuhan mereka yang pelbagai. Bermakna juga, mereka masih boleh panggil nama kawannya yang bernama “Abdullah”, tidaklah menjadi kesalahan. Begitu jugalah tiada larangan untuk orang-orang bukan Islam untuk menyebut “Allah” seperti menyanyikan lagu-lagu Negeri yang mengandungi “kalimah Allah” dalam lirik lagunya.

Bagaimana seorang mufti membangkitkan persoalan orang bukan Islam hendak menyanyi lagu Negeri Selangor kerana dalam lirik lagu “Allah lanjutkan usia Tuanku“? Inilah kaedah salah yang digunakan oleh seorang mufti kononnya hendak berkias tetapi inilah yang disebut sebagai “qiyas ma alfariq” yakni kias yang lari dari konteksnya.

Begitu juga dalam satu kenyataan beliau yang disiarkan dalam sebuah portal berita (17hb Mei 2014) menyebut bahawa “Orang yang dekat dengan Muslim ialah Kristian. Al-Quran kata kamu akan dapati orang yang paling dekat perasaan sayangnya pada orang Islam itu adalah Kristian“.

Beliau mungkin merujuk kepada ayat 82 surah Al-Maaidah di mana ” … Dan demi sesungguhnya engkau akan dapati orang-orang yang dekat sekali kasih mesranya kepada orang-orang yang beriman ialah orang-orang yang berkata: “Bahawa kami ini ialah orang-orang Nasraniyang demikian itu, disebabkan ada di antara mereka pendita-pendita dan ahli-ahli ibadat, dan kerana mereka pula tidak berlaku sombong.

Persoalannya:

  1. Tidakkah mufti ini rujuk dan ambil iktibar dari asbabul nuzul ayat tersebut? Siapakah orang Nasrani yang disebut dalam ayat tersebut?
  2. Tidakkah mufti baca habis ayat tersebut yang menyebut bahawa pendita dan ahli ibadat orang Nasrani ini tidak sombong dan memberi jawapan yang benar kepada Raja Najasi ketika itu – yakni membenarkan ayat Al Quran yang diturunkan kepada Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.?
  3. Tidakkah mufti ini baca ayat selepasnya, iaitu sambungan kepada cerita dalam ayat 82? Bahawa orang-orang Nasrani ini selepas dimaklumkan tentang Nabi akhir zaman yang dinantikan itu telah tiba mereka gembira hingga mengeluarkan air mata dan terus beriman.

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرَى أَعْيُنَهُمْ تَفِيضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آَمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِدِينَ وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا جَاءَنَا مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَنْ يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الصَّالِحِينَ

“Dan apabila mereka mendengarkan apa yang diturunkan kepada Rasul (Muhammad), kamu melihat mereka mencucurkan air mata disebabkan kebenaran (Al Qur’an) yang telah mereka ketahui (dari kitab-kitab mereka sendiri); seraya berkata: “Ya Tuhan kami, kami telah beriman, maka catatlah kami bersama orang-orang yang menjadi saksi (atas kebenaran Al Qur’an dan kenabian Muhammad). Mengapa kami tidak akan beriman kepada Allah dan kepada kebenaran yang datang kepada kami, padahal kami sangat ingin agar Tuhan kami memasukkan kami ke dalam golongan orang-orang yang shaleh?”.” Surah Al Maaidah: ayat 83-84

Apakah sama sikap orang-orang Nasrani yang diceritakan dalam ayat-ayat 82-84 dalam surah Al-Maaidah itu dengan pelampau evangelis Kristian yang hendak memurtadkan umat Islam kini?

TBILISI, Georgia 14 Feb. – Polis Georgia menahan seorang paderi yang dipercayai telah merancang untuk meracuni seorang tokoh utama di Gereja Ortodoks Georgia.

Mangsa yang merupakan ketua gereja, Patriarch Ilia II ketika ini sedang di rawat di salah sebuah hospital Jerman.

Rangkaian BBC melaporkan, gas beracun jenis cyanide telah ditemui pada paderi tersebut yang kemudian di tahan di Lapangan Terbang Tbilisi ketika cuba melarikan diri ke Jerman.

Georgian priest arrested in plot to poison senior cleric

The priest was arrested at the Tbilisi airport with cyanide in his suitcase, with some reports saying the target was Patriarch Ilia, head of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

The announcement comes after well-respected Rustavi 2 television channel reported about an attempt to poison Patriarch Ilia, head of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

Irakli Shotadze, chief prosecutor in the former Soviet republic, told reporters on Monday that Father Georgi Mamaladze was arrested at the Tbilisi airport on Friday with cyanide in his suitcase. Mamaladze, chief of the property department of the Georgian Orthodox Church, was on his way to Germany where Ilia is undergoing hospital treatment.

Shotadze said the arrest was made after prosecutors received a tip from a man who reported that he had been contacted by a priest looking to buy cyanide. Police also found weapons at Mamaladze’s home.

Shotadze refused to name the senior cleric that Mamaladze is suspected of having targeted.

The 84-year old Ilia has been in poor health for several years, and was visibly frail when he welcomed Pope Francis to Georgia in October.

Eka Beseliya, chairwoman of the parliamentary committee on legal issues, said Mamaladze’s arrest “has prevented a grave crime” but she said she was unable to disclose details of the case since it is classified. Beseliya added, however, that the patriarch’s “security and health are protected absolutely.”

New figures have revealed Muslim pupils outnumber Christian children in more than 30 church schools.

According to the latest available statistics, one Church of England primary school has a ‘100 per cent Muslim population’.

It has prompted leading education experts to urge some church schools to become secular institutions because it is ‘confusing for children’.

St Thomas in Werneth, Oldham, is reported to have no Christian pupils, according to the local diocese, with a 100 per cent Muslim population – though this figure may be ‘out of date’ according to one governor.

Bishop Bridgeman Church of England Primary in Bolton has a 90 per cent Muslim population, while at Staincliffe CoE Junior School in West Yorkshire 98 per cent of students are reported to come from a Muslim background.

Professor Alan Smithers, director of the centre for education at the University of Buckingham, told the Sunday Times: ‘The Church of England has traditionally provided education in this country but now that risks being an uncomfortable experience for the Muslim pupils that fill many of these schools.’

He added: ‘It must also be very confusing for the handful of Christian pupils in some of them.

‘It would seem logical these schools become secular institutions.’

According to the St Thomas’ website: ‘St Thomas is a Church of England school and at present most of the children who attend are of the Muslim faith.

‘We begin each day with a school worship when we say prayers to recognise the place God has in our lives.

‘All children follow a course of Religious Education and we observe both Christian and Muslim Festivals.’

St Thomas in Werneth, Oldham – a Church of England School – has a “100 per cent Muslim population”, with no Christian pupils, The Times reports. Staincliffe CofE Junior School  in Batley, West Yorkshire, states that 98 per cent of its pupils “come from a Muslim background”.

ct-muslimoutnumberedchurchschoolukThe Church of England estimated that about 20 if its schools hosted more Muslim than Christian students, while the Catholic Education Service (CES) reported that 15 of its schools had Muslim pupils in the majority, with one school where nine out of 10 pupils were Muslim. The CES said that the change is due to the increasing immigration of Muslim communities into areas that used to be predominantly Christian.

Some Church schools reflect this makeup in their practice, for example including Islamic prayers in their services, while All Saints Church of England Primary in Bradford sells hijabs to its pupils. Emphasis may be put on observing Islamic as well as Christian festivals, or making pupils’ time off coincide with the Muslim festival of Eid.

The tension arises in particular because Church schools – both Anglican and Catholic – receive government funding and are expected to feature a daily act of Christian worship. The disproportionate demographic figures have led some to suggest that these Church schools should become secular institutions.

The Church of England’s chief education officer, the Rev Nigel Genders, said that at Bishop Bridgeman CofE Primary School in Bolton 90 per cent of pupils were Muslim “yet it feels like a Church of England school”.

He added: “It goes back to the principle that we are not faith schools serving a Christian population but Church schools serving the local community.”

Kenyataan yang dibuat Ustaz Md Salleh Haji Ahmad (Ahli Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Pulau Pinang) pada 8hb Feb 2017, mengesahkan berhubung campur tangan exco Agama dalam fatwa Kalimah Allah. Malah surat daripada exco Agama sendiri yang bertarikh 26 Mei 2010 (yang dilampirkan di bawah) adalah merupakan satu lagi bukti yang amat ketara dalam isu ini.

PENJELASAN DATO’ MD SALLEH HJ AHMAD (AJK FATWA PULAU PINANG) MENGENAI ISU CAMPUR TANGAN POLITIK TERHADAP PROSES PEMFATWAAN

Saya mengikuti isu yang berbangkit di dalam akhbar mutakhir ini mengenai campur tangan politik terhadap proses pemfatwaan. Sebagai seorang Ahli Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Pulau Pinang yang masih berkhidmat, saya menyokong penuh kenyataan bekas Ahli Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri Pulau Pinang, Ust Afnan Hamimi,  bahawa wujudnya campur tangan politik daripada Kerajaan Negeri terhadap proses pemfatwaan.

Saya melahirkan dukacita terhadap Exco Agama Kerajaan Negeri Pulau Pinang kerana campur tangan beliau ke atas proses pemfatwaan. Ada arahan daripada beliau pada tahun 2010 kepada Jawatankuasa Fatwa supaya fatwa kalimah Allah yang telah digazetkan, dibincangkan semula agar keputusan Jawatankuasa Fatwa selari dengan pendirian Kerajaan Negeri pimpinan DAP ketika itu yang tidak bersetuju dengan fatwa kalimah Allah. Walau bagaimanapun, mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Fatwa pada tahun 2010 tetap bertegas supaya fatwa kalimah Allah yang telah digazetkan, dikekalkan sebagai fatwa.

Selain itu, terdapat beberapa fatwa yang ditangguhkan oleh Exco Agama untuk dibawa kepada Yang DiPertuan Agong. Perkara ini pernah dibincangkan di dalam mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri. Saya kesal dengan tindakan ini, seolah-olah kuasa Exco Agama di dalam hal pemfatwaan ini lebih besar daripada kuasa Jawatankuasa Fatwa Negeri.

Oleh itu, saya minta supaya tindakan campur tangan politik ini dihentikan. Semua fatwa yang diputuskan hendaklah terus dipersembahkan kepada Yang DiPertuan Agong, tidak perlu melalui mesyuarat Exco Kerajaan Negeri.

Saya berharap kenyataan ini dapat menjelaskan perkara yang sebenar berkaitan isu yang timbul. Saya juga mengharapkan agar masyarakat Islam sama-sama bangkit mempertahankan institusi fatwa daripada sebarang campur tangan dan tekanan politik mana-mana pihak.

Semasa bertemu dengan seorang kenalan yang amat pakar dalam bidang missiologi, yang telah banyak membuat penyelidikan tentang gerakan missionari Kristian, beliau berkongsi beberapa keping slaid yang menunjukkan perancangan “church planting” gerakan Kristian di Malaysia.

Gerakan Kristianisasi mengguna pelbagai platform dan bentuk dari Church Planting, Pameran Buku Bergerak di atas kapal hingga ke Pusat Latihan Bolasepak.

Ada beberapa perkara yang beliau tayangkan saya sudah maklum, antaranya tentang CAMEL Method. Namun, suatu yang baru saya dengar ialah tentang perancangan evangelis Kristian untuk menubuhkan 50 buah gereja khusus untuk orang Melayu di seluruh Tanah Air kita.

Senarai yang beliau kongsikan itu mengandungi senarai negeri dan pecahan daerah-daerah yang terlibat yang bakal diadakan gereja-gereja tersebut. Semua negeri dalam Malaysia tersenarai – tidak ada satu pun terselamat, termasuk negeri kelahiran saya Darul Iman dan begitu juga Serambi Mekah Darul Naim.

Seperti mana kita maklum, gereja yang mereka maksudkan tidak semestinya sebuah bangunan khusus berbentuk gereja. Kini “church planting” adalah dalam bentuk lot kedai yang disewa sahaja. Kita masih ingat kisah gereja di kawasan tidak ada penduduk Kristian di Taman Medan beberapa tahun lalu.

Mereka akan cuba memberi gambaran supaya agama Kristian ini tidak asing bagi masyarakat setempat.

Malah kontekstualisasi diperakui sebagai satu komponen penting dalam penyebaran agama Kristian yang efektif (Contextualization is an important component of effective Gospel ministry).

Ada juga sesetengah dari pada pelampau evangelis Kristian yang mengatakan bahawa kontekstualisasi adalah suatu alat manipulasi untuk menarik orang murtad masuk Kristian (contextualization is deceptive manipulation to get converts).

comprehensive-contextualizationEvangelis Kristian sanggup membiarkan orang Islam yang dimurtadkan itu seolah kekal sebagai bagaikan seorang Islam cuma cukup dengan mengaku bahawa Jesus Christ itu sebagai tuhan (Instead of … making Muslims into Christians, we need to encourage and enable believers to continue their identification with their community as “Muslims,” but express their allegiance to Christ in Islamic terms and forms).

Bagi mereka, pentingnya kontekstualisasi ini sehingga jika tidak melakukan kontekstualisasi dalam terjemahan Bible akan mengakibatkan ianya menjadi sukar untuk difahami seolah meletakkan racun pula di dalam Bible yang diterjemahkan itu. (At every point we fail to fully contextualize translation of the Bible, we inject it with poison that renders it less appealing and weakens its power to penetrate Islamic society)

Maka ini akan menjadi penghalang untuk orang Islam murtad masuk Kristian (this puts unnecessary barriers in the way of Muslims coming to Christ).

Sebab itu mereka akan seberapa boleh menggunakan istilah-istilah yang lazim kita anggap sebagai istilah “Islamik” untuk memudahkan tipu helah ajaran sesat mereka. Ini kerana jika mereka kekal menggunakan istilah-istilah yang berkaitan dengan agama Kristian tanpa dikontekstualisasikan ianya akan menjadi penghalang psikolgi dan emosi untuk orang Islam terima kesesatan Kristian. (Islamic language is needed for clear communication. Many Christian words are unknown or unclear to the Muslim and use of Christian language can raise psychological and emotional barriers against the message)

Itulah tajuk yang saya pilih di atas “Ubah Suai Agama Kristian Untuk Orang Melayu“, bahawa mereka ubah suaikan agama mereka supaya mudah untuk orang Melayu terima kesesatan mereka. Itulah di antara sebab mereka bersungguh mahu salah gunakan nama suci Allah. [baca: Apa Susah-susah Nak Faham Terjemahan “God”?]

Malah, untuk orang-orang Hindu, mereak ada strategi lain khusus untuk orang Hindu. Untuk orang Hindu, pelampau evangelis Kristian akan tukar nama tuhan mereka kepada Iswar/Iswara pulak! [baca: Nama Tuhan Kristian Boleh Ditukar-tukar dan ini Nama Tuhan Kristian Ialah ISWAR? Bukan Jesus dan Bukan Allah?]
